Presentations

Voluntary agreement between Bambule and ANC 3E was presented for approval. The agreement limits the hours Bambule may have live music and the business must provide parking for its customers. Bambule has agreed to the terms of the agreement and therefore the ANC will withdraw the protest petition against liquor license renewal. The ANC unanimously voted to adopt the voluntary agreement.

Greg McCarthy, Director of Policy and Valuation in the Mayor’s Office was unable to attend but will be present in a future month.

Alex Exman, Administrator of the Office of Mass Transit of DPW and Dave Arian, Metro Office of Planning, addressed WMATA N-Line changes. The changes include, restoration of the N-3 bus service to Foggy Bottom during rush hours, rerouting of the N-2 off of Western Avenue and Mass. Ave. (This should reduce bus traffic on Western Avenue by around 200 per week.) And the rerouting of the N-8 around the Tenleytown station.
Commissioner Mayo requested further supervision of the N-8 line as the buses are not timely and the drivers are not aware of their routes. Commissioner Mayo also requested a change in the small bus ventilation system. Mr. Arian stated changes are being made to the ventilation systems and that he would again pass on the complaints concerning the N-8 line.

2nd District Police

Lt. Carter of PSA 202 gave the crime update for the neighborhood and noted that overall crime was down. Lt. Carter also gave some safety tips and said to call 727-7070 for any light outages on the streets.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 9:20PM.

Respectfully Submitted,

Tad DiBiase, Secretary
